The Scottish Government's new Winter Heating Payment will be paid out to eligible households across East Renfrewshire within weeks.
It will provide £50 to around 400,000 households across Scotland to help with heating costs.
Unlike Westminster's Cold Weather Payment, this payment will be made irrespective of the weather.
