WINNERS - CHRISTMAS PICTURE COMPETITION: 17th December 2020

Nearly 700 East Renfrewshire Primary School children entered my Christmas picture competition. The entries were all fantastic. A big thanks to the children and their teachers for participating.

The eventual winners all made fantastic pictures, so very well done to: Adam Geejo of St Cadoc's Primary, who was the overall winner; P6-7 winners Olivia Aitken of Hillview Primary, and Fergus Cao of St Joseph's Primary; P3-5 winners Phoebe Mann of Eaglesham Primary and Keeva Smith of St John's Primary, and P1-2 winners Aasiyah Ali of Maidenhill Primary and Molly Ness of Netherlee Primary. I was glad to drop off a congratulations note, and prize to the schools for the winners.

I thought they and their teachers and all our school staff teams deserved to be applauded for the way they have coped with this very challenging year, so I also laid down an Early Day Motion at Westminster congratulating our winners and wishing them, their families and our school teams a happy and peaceful Christmas.
