What a fantastic afternoon joining the Ukrainian Cultural Centre and Ukrainian School Glasgow at Greenbank Church for a traditional Vertep, which is a Ukrainian Christmas play.
The children were outstanding and had obviously practised so hard. What an amazing experience to watch them perform!
Unexpected but welcome that St Nicholas himself showed up too.
It was really lovely to spend time chatting, enjoy some delicious borscht, and try my hand at crafts too.
This organisation does a great deal of important work locally, supporting the Ukrainian community and engaging with the wider community in such imaginative and welcome ways. I’m very happy I was able to join everyone today.
