It's pretty depressing that ten months on from being told the UK Government were looking after all British Council staff, and numerous questions from me and others, there are still many British Council contractors in Afghanistan, whose lives are in real danger. The UK Government has made a total hash of this, and instead of continuing to shilly-shally around, they need to get a grip and support them to get to safety. They know who these folk are, they know where they are, and they know they are in danger because they have worked to support UK interests. It's unforgivable they are not on top of this.
