I took the opportunity this week to ask about drug supplies in the context of Brexit. We are very aware of the importance of properly planned supply and logistics arrangements after the challenges we faced getting staples like bread and loo roll in the first few weeks of lockdown.
The more critical items such as diabetes medication are all the more pressing for those who require them. It is incumbent upon the UK Government to up their game in terms of planning and supply, as we hurtle towards the Brexit we did not choose, and which will cause significant difficulty to our community. I remain unconvinced that these critical issues are being properly planned for.
