Constituency visit today with Ian Blackford MP was at The Boathouse, Rouken Glen for lovely coffees, and a meeting with Zara Mohammed, newly elected General Secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain - and the first young person, woman and Scot to hold that post.

Grateful for a very constructive discussion on the importance of working to improve diversity in public life, fostering strong interfaith dialogue, and always standing against Islamophobia. We also had a sobering but useful discussion on the needs of those fleeing Afghanistan and the work which needs to be done. Thanks to Zara for her time and such a wide ranging conversation.
Delighted the sun came out and showed off Rouken Glen Park at its best.
