This is a subject which matters a great deal to me and I know also to many others in East Renfrewshire whose families have been affected by brain tumours. It was really good to meet recently with The Brain Tumour Charity and discuss their vital work.
One issue which is of continued concern to many is the continued gap in research and treatments for children and young people affected by certain types of brain tumour. I spoke out about this recently at Westminster as I have done on a number of occasions, and I will continue to advocate for more of a focus on this area.
