Many thanks to Clare Turner of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland for a very helpful meeting today, talking about the merits of ensuring bread is fortified with Folic Acid, which can help prevent Spina Bifida and other neural tube defects. It's difficult to see the downsides to this, so I am supportive of this being progressed wherever possible, and I will make further enquiries about how this might be approached.
