I have been writing to supermarkets to ask if they can add social care workers to those who can use the designated shopping hours set aside for those working on the front line.
These workers have told me they are finding it difficult with shift patterns and hours of work to get to shops at all. By making the designated shopping hours available to them, it would make it a little easier to get their own provisions, or those which their clients need.
Many thanks to Asda and Morrisons for their speedy positive responses to my enquiry. I will follow up with other stores and update this information when I hear back from them.
