The foolish proposal for a 'Boris Bridge' from Scotland to Northern Ireland, has rightly been shown up for that it is. An impossible flight of fancy, with advisors tasked to look into it reporting what we all knew - it is a very bad idea.
They rejected as “impossible to justify”, as it would cost £300 billion (22 times more than the Prime Minister’s estimates). The UK Government should leave devolved matters like this well alone, and step away from these headline grabbing nonsense plans.
A shame the Secretary of State couldn't be more gracious in accepting that it was a non-starter. No wonder more and more Scots see a better way of doing things with independence.
