The latest The Scottish Government paper on Scottish independence: Renewing democracy through independence, has been released today by Nicola Sturgeon.
Today's paper focuses on democracy and democratic renewal. It exposes the significant and increasing democratic deficit that Scotland suffers as part of the Union. It argues that only independence can strengthen and embed democracy in Scotland, and so provide a secure foundation from which to overcome challenges and so fulfil our potential.
