Railway Works - Community Drop In Events
Network Rail has written to me to let me know about two community drop-in events planned for next week in Busby and Giffnock to highlight a programme of work being undertaken.
They've shared a letter issued recently to neighbouring residents (see pictures) which gives updates on the engineering works taking place as part of the Barrhead to Glasgow electrification project, a part of the Scottish Government’s programme to decarbonise Scotland’s Railway by 2035.
With piling work on the Barrhead line completing, their next phase involves works on the East Kilbride to Glasgow line between Thornliebank and Busby station.
Their community drop-in events are as detailed below:
Tuesday, 18 April 2023 – Duff memorial Hall, Main Street, Busby, G76 8DX, from 4pm to 7pm.
Wednesday, 19 April 2023 – Giffnock Library, Station Rd, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 6JF, from 3.45pm to 7.45pm.
