I participated in the Queen's Speech debate, on the day set aside to discuss Fairness at Work and Power in Communities.
It takes a special kind of brass neck for the Tory Government to have a debate on this topic, since they have abandoned their repeated promises to have an Employment Bill so as to make work fairer, and close the loopholes which result in far too many people falling through the cracks.
Instead we have their race to the bottom approach, diminishing our rights and protections, and making things less fair for us all.
It's high time that Labour got on board with the need for employment law to be devolved, and yet another good reason why we need the powers of independence to support fair work practices and the upholding of human rights.
