After my Prime Minister’s Question on disability and employment last week it was very good to meet the team from the DPO (Disabled People’s Organisation) at Westminster today. Disabled people have been disproportionately affected by austerity and may face significant barriers in their day to day lives. The voices of disabled people need to be at the heart of policy making and at the heart of democracy. Pleased to discuss the need for representation and inclusion which is essential if things are to change for the better.
