Pesach Sameach!

Passover is one of the most important and widely observed Jewish holidays, and marks a commemoration of the liberation of Jewish people from slavery.

Today is the eve of Passover, when usually Jewish families would come together for a family meal called a ‘seder’. This is of course not possible this year, which makes it a very different Passover...

I know, and am glad, the Jewish community in Scotland is doing a lot of work to ensure folk are still connected at this important time, and are able to support one another and celebrate their faith and traditions together.

As Jewish communities in East Renfrewshire and beyond prepare to celebrate, I wish a happy and peaceful Passover to all.
