Spoke for the second time this week in Westminster about the wrong-headed plans by week that McGill's Buses to withdraw the No 52 Barrhead Circular bus service. After presenting a Public petition on this at the start of the week, I have raised the issue again in Business Questions.
People rely upon this bus to get them to shops, schools, GP appointments, library and community services, and the timing of the announcement and lack of details are very disappointing.
I've been working alongside Cllr Chris Lunday and Cllr Angela Convery SNP on this issue and we are meeting again tomorrow. We have a meeting scheduled with McGills next week. Grateful for the tireless work Rena McGuire has put in on this issue, and she has secured around 600 signatures on her petition already.
