NI Questions: 2nd September 2020

Kirsten

Today at Northern Ireland questions, I pointed out that on7th of August the Cabinet Secretary flew in to Northern Ireland to announce a business package of £355 million. This money is apparently designed to alleviate the cost of border checks and Brexit red tape that the Prime Minister has repeatedly promised won't exist.

I asked the Secretary of State if, as a signed up member of this Brexit cabinet, he could assure Scottish businesses that the very same level of financial supports will be put in place to meet all the costs of Scotland being dragged out of the European single market.

He could not.
