DWP Questions 9/3/20

Today, I asked the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions about the impact of austerity upon those in receipt of benefits, and whether this was something she had discussed with the Treasury. You can judge for yourself whether the response given answered my question. This is an important issue. It gets to the heart of the dignity which is sorely missing form the UK benefits system, and it is telling that there appears to have been no discussion about this issue despite the impact this has on so many lives.
