I had a useful meeting this morning with Lorraine McMillan, Chief Executive of East Renfrewshire Council, to discuss local issues and have a look forward to the winter period and the challenges that may bring.
I also took the opportunity to pass on my thanks for the work which Council staff are doing at this difficult time.
I know that the teams on the ground, for example in schools, refuse collection, and environmental health, as well as all those working behind the scenes to support them, are doing what's needed to keep us safe and keep our community services running. It's difficult for everyone, and I'm grateful to them for what they do.
