I joined Iain Dale last night for Cross Question on LBC, and amongst other things discussed the critical importance of continuing to press the UKGovernment to step up and support those excluded from the Chancellor’s provisions. There are three million excluded people, including freelancers and those who were newly self employed, who remain out in the cold without any support. I was glad Ian Blackford pressed the Prime Minister again about this at PMQs this week. It’s instructive that of all the All Party Parliamentary Groups at Westminster, the Excluded APPG has more cross party members than any others, yet still The Tory Government ignore the excluded groups. We’ll continue to press for this to change.
