Along with my SNP colleagues, I will continue to push for improvements to the scheme as it stands, recognising that there remain a number of problematic gaps which are causing concern.

Nonetheless, from today, employers can claim for 80% of an employee’s wages plus any employer National Insurance and pension contributions, if you have put them on furlough because of coronavirus (COVID-19).
