This UK Government has an appalling attitude towards migration.
The hostile environment is a reality which causes significant harm to people who are often already in the most difficult situations, and it very much added insult to injury when the Minister both ignored and laughed at the points I was making about issues constituents are currently having.
Immigration is important for Scotland. Migrants make a huge and welcome contribution to our communities and our economy. Amid record labour and skill shortages, on top of draconian legislation, it has never been clearer that the UK Government cannot be trusted with Scotland’s migration policy.
