Lovely to have them join me to visit the Hugh Fraser Retirement Village in Newton Mearns today.
We were all bowled over by the plans to upgrade and increase accommodation, on the lovely site, which can be adapted to suit changing needs.
Excellent to learn more about future plans which will see refreshed common areas including a restaurant and flexible spaces open to the public.
I was encouraged by the attention to sustainability details including solar energy and a real focus on keeping energy costs down for residents.
Also so good to hear how resident feedback has driven the planning and decision making.
I can’t wait to go back and see the changes, which are hoped to be complete by late autumn. Huge thanks to staff for taking the time to go over all this with us.
