Grateful to have been at the very thought provoking Holocaust Memorial Day Civic Service at Glasgow Reform Synagogue in Newton Mearns this morning.
It was extremely moving as part of the service to moving to hear from Gillian, the daughter of local resident, Henry Wuga. Henry arrived on the Kindertransport after Kristallnacht, and after he retired, he worked alongside his late wife Ingrid to bring their testimony about the Holocaust directly to hundreds of young people.
My thanks to all involved in making this such an inclusive service, which was very well attended by community, religious and political representatives of all stripes, as well as the congregation.
