Gender Recognition Act - Reform is Needed

Glad to speak in a debate today in Westminster Hall on the Gender Recognition Act, and to outline the reasons reform is much needed - the current system is opaque, obtuse and traumatic.

I underlined the importance of a system which treats trans people with dignity, and reflected on the importance of all our human rights, as well as the merits of respectful listening. I look forward to the Scottish Government's forthcoming legislation, and know that considered approach will underpin it.
