One of the groups who have been significantly adversely impacted by the Chancellor leaving so many people entirely excluded from financial support are pregnant women and new parents. The Chancellor has the power to fix these gaps in support, but despite widespread calls, has failed to do so to date.
I am therefore a signatory to this cross party letter, backed by the All Party Group on Gaps in Support, #ExcludedUK, Maternity Action, and Pregnant then Screwed, which seeks to secure the support which is so badly needed for those left out in the cold at this most pressured and concerning of times.
