Friday Visits

A busy constituency Friday, with the bonus of Eve (Williamwood High) and Daniel (Hutcheson’s Grammar) on work placement with my team. Many thanks to constituents who met with me at surgery appointments today, and to those we met on fantastic local visits: —The Hugh Fraser Retirement Village is well known and loved locally. The facilities are undergoing an ambitious makeover to deliver new and improved facilities including a restaurant open to the general public. Work starting soon will also ensure sustainable energy to ensure lower bills. —Then off to a warm welcome at the Woodfarm Education Centre to meet Mearns Cycling Club who are doing great work to open cycling up and encourage participation. Very pleased to present an EDM applauding their successes. — Finally, on to Norwood Nursing Home in Barrhead, to open their new residents lounge, freshly decorated with residents choosing the decor. It looks amazing. So lovely to join them for a wee tea party too! Many thanks to everyone we saw today, including Eve and Daniel who were fantastic and an absolute credit to both schools.
