Face Mask Exemptions

I saw this helpful graphic from Disability Equality Scotland on Scotrail’s twitter feed.

It’s really important that we follow the guidance on face coverings being used on public transport, and from 10th, in shops.


However, there are some exemptions, for instance if someone has a disability or health condition that means:

- they cannot put a covering on

- a covering will cause them severe distress

- they need to communicate with someone who relies on lip reading

- they need to eat, drink or take medicine
