Online marketplaces are not responsible for the safety of products sold on their platforms. This makes them a hotbed for unsafe products.
The UK Government had promised a consultation on Product Safety in ‘Spring’. This has still not arrived, and in the meantime, consumers continue to be placed at risk.
I'm working with a cross party group of MPs and the organisation 'Electrical Safety First' to press home the need to deal with this now.
