Important change to restriction level for East Renfrewshire:
Move to tier 4 for Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Stirling and West Lothian. For 3 weeks until 11 December.
Tier 4 summary: Can meet outdoors with up to six people from 2 households All non-essential retail will close Hospitality and close contact services (hairdressers etc) to close Limit social interaction as much as possible and try to stay within own local area. Children who are shielding advised not to attend school Everyone on shielding list in these areas will receive a letter from Chief Medical Officer with advice.
Travel restrictions now in law: People living in level 3 or level 4 must not travel outside their own council area, except for certain essential purposes. People living elsewhere in Scotland must not travel to level 3 or level 4 areas, except for essential purposes.
And there must be no non-essential travel between Scotland and other parts of the UK.
