Many constituents had been in touch with me to express concerns at the perplexing decision of the BBC to replace the daily Covid briefings from the First Minister with episodes of Bargain Hunt and similar programmes. I know a number of local residents have written to the BBC expressing concerns about the removal of critical public health information at this time.

This update - see image - confirms that the BBC does now intend to continue with these important Public health broadcasts at present, which will be reassuring to many people, and in particular to those who are less able to access accurate, detailed and timely information by other means.
