Covid Update - 16th April

Important Covid update from the First Minster.

From THIS FRIDAY - 16th April: Meeting outdoors - from Friday will be 6 adults from up to 6 households Travel anywhere within Scotland from Friday this week - 16 April - for the purposes of outdoor socialising, recreation, and informal exercise.

From 26th April: Parts of country currently in level 4 will move to level 3 on 26 April. Pubs, cafes and restaurants will be able to open outdoors on 26 April - and indoors on a more restricted basis Islands will be aligned with the rest of the country for a period so that travel can operate more normally from 26 April and will move to at least level 2 on 17 May Other travel restrictions - such as leisure shopping, visiting hospitality premises or staying in tourist accommodation - will remain in place until 26 April when these places will re-open and all travel restrictions within Scotland will be lifted Expect to lift restrictions on travel to and from England and Wales on 26 April. Northern Ireland is due to review its restrictions later this week - so we will review our approach to travel there before 26 April.

From mid May, and into June: Whole country to move to at least level 2 on 17 May, then to level 1 in early June; and to level 0 in late June.

Should be able to meet inside in small groups from the middle of May onwards.

Still concern over international travel - this will be kept under review for now.

Please continue to take care, and follow all guidance, to keep us all safe.
