I was pleased to be able to contribute to the Covid-19 debate in the virtual House of Commons this afternoon, and to have the opportunity to pay tribute to the response in East Renfrewshire, our key workers and amazing volunteers.
My contribution focussed on the importance of clear messaging, and the measures we need to see from the UK Government to ensure that we move forward with jobs which are protected, sustained, and fair. Employment will need to change as we move forward, and this must happen in a way that has fairness and flexibility at heart.
