Canvassing in Clarkston

Knocking on doors is always interesting. Tonight was something else though. This made my night.

Behind one door I met young C and his mum and we had a nice chat. C, who is 6 and in P1, showed me a bundle of magazines which he has been making. They were brilliant - full of lovely pictures and writing.

I could tell the illustrations were of Captain Underpants and Buzz Lightyear, having read many books about these characters to my own children.

And the very loveliest thing - he insisted I have a couple of his magazines. So they are on my bookshelf in pride of place. What a lovely, kind and very creative boy.
