Business Questions 9/1/20

This is an issue I know is important to a number of people in our local communities. This morning at Business Questions, I challenged Jacob Rees-Mogg on the terrible decision of the Tories yesterday to vote to prevent unaccompanied child refugees - the most vulnerable of children - from being reunited with their families.

I asked him what assessment his Government had made of the impact of their vote on the safety of these children. Regrettably he did not take ownership of the decision of his Government so it seems likely to me that no such assessment was part of their decision making.
