While Scotland has been basking in this beautiful weather, more people who are not accustomed to swimming away from swimming pools may be tempted to have a dip outdoors. Over recent days, we have seen such tragic loss of life in water incidents, which is utterly heartbreaking. My thoughts are with their families and loved ones.
Please be cautious around water, and remember that danger exists even for experienced swimmers . Water conditions can change quickly and risks are not always immediately obvious.
