I think many like me will have appreciated the way which in Humza Yousaf spoke yesterday when he explained his intention to stand down.

As I set out earlier today on BBC Radio Scotland, I sincerely hope that John Swinney MSP will now come forward and ultimately become SNP Leader and First Minister. He would do a first class job on both fronts.
