Artificial Intelligence Bias

Artificial intelligence, whether in recruitment, immigration, welfare benefits, or a host of other areas needs careful examination and regulation to ensure that it is not perpetuating inequality by building in unconscious bias.

But the UK Government’s Data Protection and Digital Information Bill is liberalising the use of Artificial Intelligence in decision-making, whilst at the same time reducing the right of people to appeal those decisions.

I am not convinced this UK Gov Minister is particularly interested in mitigating these risks, but it is important for us all that we do.
