An Emergency Budget Is Long Overdue

An Emergency Budget is long overdue.

The UK Government could choose to implement a broad-based Windfall Tax, they could also opt to uprate benefits (as the Scottish Government has done with the limited social security benefits it administers). They could choose to re-introduce the £1040 taken out of Universal Credit payments, and to replicate the Scottish Government's game-changing Child Payment.

I know people cannot sustain these pressures. Along with colleagues I will continue to speak up about the urgent need for action, and to pressure the UK Government to help those who are struggling.[post%20type]&at_campaign=64&at_custom3=%40BBCBreaking&at_custom4=B6D74796-DB56-11EC-BC88-46EF2052A482&at_medium=custom7&at_custom2=twitter&fbclid=IwAR2WwYc46jIDoFtROJVV1subN0wemuf1IVvMIkITmjRdTJQDk-W8XPB-Vz8
