Deeply concerning to hear the news yesterday of Allma Construction entering administration, given the number of people locally whose jobs have been impacted.
Immediately this news broke yesterday, I made contact with both the Skills Development Scotland PACE team, who are responsible for strategic responses to situations such as this, and with the local Jobcentre, seeking all possible support for constituents affected by this news.
I am grateful for their engagement with me since, and I know that there are plans underway to provide staff with information to enable them to make claims for redundancy payments, as well as assistance with job search and other targeted support.
If any affected constituents wish to contact me, I will do all I can to support them, and make sure that they are provided with all appropriate assistance and information. I can be contacted at kirsten.oswald.mp@parliament.uk or on 0141 644 8822.
