Thank you to Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Scotland for a very thought provoking event this evening, focussing on an interfaith discussion of loving our neighbour.
It was fascinating and quite inspiring to hear from great speakers representing a broad range of religious communities about the common beliefs across people of all faiths and none regard the importance of helping others and working to support those who may differ from us, as well as those we have more in common with.
That rich diversity, including a diversity of religious belief is one of the amazing things about East Renfrewshire, and I know how very hard religious groups, voluntary and community groups and charities have worked to support those around them during this very difficult year.
This evening was a lovely reminder of all that selfless good work going on around us, and a well timed reflection on how we interact with and support our wider communities.
