I’m really pleased to be named as an Accessible Voting Champion by ‘My Vote My Voice’.
It’s vital that everyone has easy access to democracy, and that applies to autistic people and people with learning disabilities just as much as to others.
I am to provide accessible information to my constituents about my role as an MP, to raise awareness of the democratic deficit which means some people are less able to use their democratic voice than they ought to be, and I always try hard to champion the rights of autistic people and people with learning disabilities at constituency and national level.
