A TRIBUTE - FRANK ANGELL
I am very sorry to share the news of the death of Frank Angell, a man who will be well known by many in the SNP family, as well as in the local community here in East Renfrewshire.
Frank was a retired dentist, a former SNP council candidate, a tireless political activist, a highly respected community figure, and above all a hugely decent and kind family man.
I remember the first time I met Frank, at one of the first SNP meetings I attended, where he greeted me with a huge smile, and that smile was there every time you saw him. He was both interesting and interested, always delighted to discuss and debate, and ever respectful and thoughtful. It was always a pleasure to spend time with Frank, and I am very glad that Cllr Colm Merrick SNP and I recently went for a coffee and catch-up with him.
He was a great thinker. A lover of books, who delighted in sharing what he read. Fantastic to chat to over a coffee, he was an insightful and generous-spirited participant in meetings and events.
Most of all, Frank was a family man, who delighted in sharing the latest family news and photos. His great love for his family shone through, always.
Frank was my friend, and I will miss him. He was, I know, a great friend to many others, who are likewise very sad to hear this news.
My thoughts are with Frank’s beloved wife Elaine, and his family and his friends. May his memory be a blessing.
