Working from home can bring unexpected challenges. My telephone surgery was due to begin at 12 noon today. At that precise time a pigeon entered my house and spent an hour exploring, with me gently and uselessly coaxing it to leave, one child hiding, and the other standing on the sofa the whole time.
Thank you to the constituents whose surgery calls were delayed by this surprising visitor for their patience in awaiting my calls.
Surgeries in person were never this eventful.
