60th Anniversary of Calderwood Lodge Primary School

This is the 60th anniversary year of Calderwood Lodge Primary School, a unique place as the only Jewish School in Scotland and perhaps the only joint Jewish Catholic Campus - with St Clare’s Primary - in Europe. With a very diverse intake of students it is a welcoming and welcome part of our local community.

A great morning there today, celebrating this important 60th anniversary over brunch with students past and present, and members of the local community, as well as the Chief Rabbi. The school choir were magnificent, and they deserve a huge pay on the back.

Amongst the excellent speeches was one contribution from the very first intake of pupils. It was really wonderful to hear the experience of that very first class and the contrast with the school today.
